Hey G.A.M.P. Families

It is time to start planning for Summer Camp.  At this point, we are thinking we will go to the second week of Super C camp again.  The camp week is June 24^th through 29^th and the cost is $155 if registered prior to 3/31.  We will have costs for travel as well.

The rooms hold 8 people, so we can take 7 guys in my room and 7 girls in Pam’s room.  We will be assigning those in our room on a first come, first served basis.  So, if you want your child to be with Pam or I, you will want to get me your $45 non-refundable deposit as quickly as possible.  Those not in the first 7 will be placed with a “family” leader from a different church unless we have another male sponsor that will be going.  Currently, the only male sponsors we have are Ted Berning and I, and Ted will not be going to camp.

About the camp:  this is a very deep camp that has a lot of Bible memorization.  The speakers are quite direct, and the message is great.  There is a full week of both guys and girls learning how chivalry should work.  Everyone is required to be modest in everything they do.  It is a small group of around 60 campers, so they build some great relationships with kids from other churches.  Last year was the first time in the past 5 or 6 years where we have had our kids make serious spiritual decisions and lay down and discuss deep spiritual issues.
